Muggwumps & Noo

Muggwumps & Noo

Here is another shot from my wife's recent graduation.

Once we had got through all the graduation crowds, and the girls had their gowns, we relaxed a little. While we waited I walked around, taking a few photos, and I managed to spy my wife playing with her mum.

I haven’t been feeling too good the past week so I didn’t really get around to posting anything.

Here is another shot from graduation day.

I didn’t take too many shots on the day, and from the bunch I did there are maybe about four or five that I like and will post.

My first week with The Phoenix Partners was absolutely amazing. I’ve really enjoyed setting up at the company, which is situated near to where I live. It’s so close that I get to walk to work in the mornings and keep some semblance of fitness going.

Graduation

Graduation

My wife has graduated from University (again) and on Monday I got to experience the joys of her graduation ceremony for a third time.

That said, I'm extremely proud of my wife and, once again, she managed to get a first class result. At least one of us has brains in this family. ; )

I did take a few shots at the ceremony, most of which are nothing more than snapshots and a bit like today's shot, but I thought I'd process a few to the blog over the next few days.

Just the two of us

Just the two of us

I thought I might try something a little different.

It has been a while since I have posted a silhouette so I thought I'd process this shot for today. It's also another excuse to practise some colour retouching in Photoshop.

The next few days are busy and I've my cameras charged and ready. Expect some new shots on the site soon, although I do start a new job on Tuesday with The Phoenix Partners, so that may get in the way a little bit.

Dillon's bubble

Dillon's bubble

This shot was taken at the same time as yesterdays.

I'm pretty sure this little guys name was Dillon. He was fascinated by the bubble machine at the venue I worked at. I was lucky enough to get this shot of him with one of the bubbles right on the end of his nose. I seem to remember it popped just after this photograph, and I think he was none too happy about it.

Pippa's balloon

Pippa's balloon

It occurred to me that I hadn’t posted a portrait shot in quite a while so here one is.

I haven’t really taken anything new so I had to delve into the archive for some inspiration. Not being a parent I have no children to photograph, though I hope to some day; this is of course presuming they don’t get utterly sick of the prospect of dad getting out his Nikon all the time.

Fields of Phrygia

Fields of Phrygia

This new shot was taken during my walk around the fields near where I live in Mountsorrel.

I had hoped to add a little bit more to the blog today, but time has caught me again and I won't get the chance.
