Gill and Ben

Gill and Ben

Today's shot is another portrait, but this time not of my family but of friends of Nik's parents.

We all went out for birthday lunch yesterday, and I got the chance to take a few snapshots.

The colour at the pub did nothing for the shot, so I decided to make this capture black and white.

We had a lot of fun at the farm today and I got the chance to try out my new lens.

As usual, my little angel was perfect. Well behaved, inquisitive (when isn't she?) and full of life.

This couldn't be a more perfect start to a week's holiday.

A little snapshot from our holiday earlier this year.

This photo goes out to my brother-in-law Rik, who has just ran 40km this weekend as part of Equinox 24hr run.

This shot was taken, at a far more relaxing time onboard the Queen Elizabeth, somewhere in the Bay of Biscay.

I couldn't honestly go another day and not post a shot of my little angel.

This was taken with my macro lens while I was shooting in the back garden at home. The sneaky, little monkey came up on me, but I turned the tables and caught her sneaking!

I realise every parent must feel this, but we feel so blessed.

Another shot from last weekend's trip to see The Red Arrows.

The Red Arrows

Went out today for Nikki's birthday and saw The Red Arrows!

The only problem with them is their display doesn't go on for long enough. It does really, but I could (and I know Nik could) quite happily watch them for hours. I marvel at the sheer skill involved in that kind of formation flying.

Sharing… Helping…

The relationship the girls have developed is wonderful.

Here Lexi helps Emily out, sharing her jelly. Emily is always more than happy to help, especially when it comes to food!

Just like her ol' man. Good girl!
