Sky dancing

This is an old shot from the Rainbows Summer Spectacular 2006.

I was going to post a shot from the pebble beaches of Playa Fanabe, but I stumbled upon the shots from the 2006 event, which I had been looking for all over the place. They were stored in my JPG archive and because I rarely shoot in JPG I didn't think to look in there. So to celebrate I have processed one of my favourites from the day.

The kite flying was magnificent, not least because there was very little wind. Still the kite operator managed to pull off some awesome arial displays.

I think the title fits perfectly to this photo. They really look like they're dancing.

I often name my photos the first thing that comes into my head. Sometimes the title fits and sometimes not. Here I would agree with you, the title does suit the movement captured in the shot.

Great work!

Great work! The sky is quite dramatic here. (P.S. I found this image in the VFXY weekly theme for this week).

Thanks Eugene

I enhanced it with some adjustment layers in photoshop (curves, saturation – the usual).

Love it!

That is such a great photo!! very cool. nice work.

This is a popular shot

Thanks Greg for your comment. Quite a few people have also said that they like this shot.

It makes me glad to have found the photo as it was buried deep in my archive for about a year or so.

Bloody lovely PP work on this Mr Stokes... love it!

Thanks pal

I have been feeling like going darker on the post processing for a while. Finding the Kites jpgs gave me the chance.

Hope the holiday goes well?
