Cake

Cake

We went to The Swan Inn today for Sunday lunch and to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday.

Afterward we came back for birthday cake, which Nik made, but everyone was full from lunch so Nik's parents took the cake with them.

It would take too long to explain where the title comes from, suffice it to say that it is a recurring joke in our family.

This is another shot courtesy of Jey, which is quite dissimilar from the others he took in as much as it looks almost staged.

You can appreciate by this point we were all pretty smashed and dancing our backsides off which I think the shot illustrates perfectly.

Whiteout

Whiteout

On our way to Kent to visit friends the previous weekend we hurtled into this.

Within half and hour we came out to find green fields and not a hint of snow anywhere along the M1. Incredible weather!

I was hoping to put up another photo tonight but one of my programs is causing me some major grief.

So it's an older shot today with some enhanced post processing.

Rhythm is…

Rhythm is…

I don't think any words I say can better explain this photo.

This is another of Jey's shots from our wedding (thanks pal). I was tempted to process a few in the order they were taken but I decided I will just make the odd one or two as I find them.

Nik and I have been visiting our good friends Rachel and Jey in Kent this weekend.

Jey had lots of shots from our wedding that we hadn't even seen and he was kind enough to let me have copies so I could enhance a few to post on imagi.

Here is a shot from the evening of our other good friends Matt and Eli (thanks for the photo Jey).

Mr B

Mr B

Another Hipstamatic shot today, this time of the guy who recommended the app — Mr Bursill.

I had a really weird time working with these images. For some reason when I email from my iPhone to my computer the images (as attachments) come through at 800px, which is the size for square images on my website. However they looked upscaled and, sure enough, when I checked what size the images were they seem to have imported to the computer at 525px. This meant the emailed versions had been enlarged. Even stranger, when they are uploaded directly to Facebook from the iPhone they come in at 600px.

Confused…
