Don't look now

As predicted, it has taken a while to sort out a motorbike for me.

I tried setting up test rides but various factors conspired to stop me, not least of all was the weather.

While I was waiting I did come across a beautiful bike on eBay, and while it was a little more than I wanted to pay, especially for a first bike, in the end I managed to come to an arrangement with the vendor.

I am getting a CBR600 F (53 plate) from Knotts Motorcycles in Stratford, and I have to say the service, so far, has been really very good indeed. They have been accommodating and have done their utmost to help me get the bike. I realise, ultimately, they are in this deal to sell the bike, but I have found working with them honest and very easy. I will let you know how the final sale goes, which should be in a week or so.

As for the bike, I think I'll let this snapshot do the talking. This is the Honda before it gets prepared for me. For a used bike it's in fabulous condition and with less than 10,000 miles on the clock, the engine has barely begun to stretch itself.

I'm looking forward to many hours of riding, in all weathers, although I could do with the snow (and salt) to get lost for enough time for me to speed home.

As for the title for today's entry, well I let you come to your own conclusion…

This shot is similar to this one I took a while ago but, by comparison, this bike is a hell of a lot newer (and faster) : )
