I added a new image gallery today – Fuerteventura.
I am not happy with anything I have shot recently so I have processed an old shot from my trip to the Canary Island of Fuerteventura back in 2006. There are a few other shots I may post from there, hence the new gallery.
The main difference with these shots are they were taken on my D70 with my old telephoto lens – the 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G AF-S VR. The D70 was my first DSLR and what got me into the hobby/business, big time! I was fortunate that as well as being able to take shots in my spare time, work also demanded a lot of photography and I was more than happy to oblige.
As for this shot. It was taken on a long walk down the coast (I think near Costa Calma – It was a while ago and I have an awful memory so I could be mistaken). The family in the shot were having a great time on the water. Fortunately for them Fuerte has an abundance of wind which I loved but my mum and girlfriend didn't quite so much. Fuerteventura is a great place to relax at a resort but it doesn't have as much to explore as some of the other Canary islands. To be honest after a week we all had enough which I don't think we have ever had of Tenerife.
