World through my eyes

At last I have the power!

Or at least I have some power. Our electrician is here bringing all our electrics up to spec. When we bought our house a year and half ago there was evidence of some amateurish workmanship having been done on the system and now finally we are sorting it all out. Consequently today on a days holiday I have been without power, and more importantly without my computer. ;(

The upstairs does have power now hence the possibility for this post.

As I couldn't use the kitchen this morning for breaky I went out on an early bike ride and took my camera, stopping off at a cafe along the way. Today's snap is from one of those shots taken this morning.

If you are wondering about how I took today's I shall let you in on the secret. It was shot using my right hand and I simply photo edited that arm back in later, using a previous shot.

Later tonight I am off out for a spot of poker and pool with the boys with my mate Rich threatening to bring out his ultra strong cider. So don't expect too many posts tomorrow. ;)

I have been hearing on the rumour mill about Nikon's new mid-range Pro SLR the D700. This boasts a similar sensor to the D3 and is in direct competition to Canon's 5D. By all accounts if it handles noise anything like its big brother it will be a marvel and definitely on the shopping list.

Just don't tell the missus! ;)
