This is an old shot I am recycling for this weeks Photo Friday challenge.

I did change the post processing for another version which I will post tomorrow for comparison. The difference with tomorrow's version is I approached the image more like an illustration than a photograph. The colours are different, with almost rotten hues rather than an overall colour cast (as is the case with today's).

There can be beauty in decay, debris and detritus. And beauty is so subjective anyway.

Many a time have I driven past an old, run-down building and wanted to stop and take loads of photos.

This particular photo is under a huge furnace at a steel mill in Desford, UK. It closed fully last year (I think?) and I wish I could have had longer to shoot there than just the one visit.
