The Fat Controller

Nik and I managed to get out today to Rothley station and I got the chance to take some photos (for once).

I'm quite pleased as I haven't been out and taken anything new in so very long. It was nice to snap away, even more so as, for a change, I used my wide angle lens for all the shots.

This came about as I started to notice a trend in my shooting style. I was photographing from far away in on my subjects which can give a more restricted feeling to the shots. By getting closer and using a wider angle lens it opens the shots up, getting more detail in, while at the same time giving your photos a more open feeling.

So I hope to get out a bit more in the future and practise some more on the trusty Tokina.
