I love juice!

I've done it!

On Thursday I passed my practical riding test and so I can now ride any motorbike I like.

I've been training under the DAS (Direct Access Scheme) which allows car drivers to do an accelerated course in motorbike riding. After completing a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training), a theory test (which includes a hazard perception test), module one (which is off-road) and finally the module two (the practical, on-road test) I can now get a motorbike.

The only problem now is that in order to get a bike I need to test ride different bikes. I can't do this privately because no seller is going to let a stranger go off with their bike even if I had any insurance to do so. Some of the garages and showrooms do let you have a go but you have to put a whopping guarantee down.

Fortunately, a friend's showroom is letting me try some bikes, so to be honest they will probably get any business from me. It's all good though — nothing could dampen my smile at passing, except maybe the thought of not riding for the next few weeks while I get a ride sorted.

I realise none of this has to do with today's shot which is another from the holiday but I thought it worth a mention.
