We'd have wings

We have just got back from a holiday in La Palma.

I did manage to get a few snapshots while I was away which I will post here on the site. Both Nik and I are tired from the flight but I thought I would at least get the ball rolling uploading this shot taken on the outgoing flight.

I hate flying. I haven't always but I do now. I can never tell whether I'm going to have a good flight or not. Sometimes I can cross and just have a really nice time and others I come over with my fingers digging into the seat in front of me. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme nor reason to what works. Late night flights are the worse where my fear tires me out, which in turn increases my fear.

Our outgoing flight, which I was a little uneasy about, turned out to be fine, while the return trip, which I was almost looking forward to, turned out to be exhausting. There simply is no pattern to follow.

Usually a drink en route helps but it didn't last night. Don't get me wrong, the flight was in the high 7s (out of 10) with little or no turbulence but I still didn't like it. I'm just frustrated I can't enjoy flying anymore and have joined the masses who regularly crap themselves when those massive engines propel tonnes of plane with locked in human freight up to 35,000ft.

If we were meant to fly, we'd have wings. Or at least one parachute per person.

Red Bull gives you wings.......maybe you should try that next time?

Mmm, maybe…

…as long as there's a vodka in it.
